  • Description - City of Hilo and Snow Capped Mauna Kea; Hilo is increasing very rapidly in commercial importance and is well served by fine passenger steamers and cargo vessels. The Inter-Island Steam Navigation Company maintains a Tri-weekly service, while the vessels of the Matson make regular calls.
