  • Description - In his Italian uniform. On July 30, 1889 he headed a Revolution to overthrow the government, which failed. Was arrested - tried before a Hawaiian jury and acquitted. In 1895, he was again arrested in another revolution staged by the Royalists to restore Queen Liliuokalani to Hawaii's throne. He was also tried before a military court, found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment and paying a fine.
