    Clyde E. Pangborn (1895-1958)and Roscoe Turner (1895-1970), American fliers, finished second in the MacRobertson Trophy Air Race, also known as the London to Melbourne Air Derby. They and their Boeing airplane arrived in Honolulu via ship on Nov. 26, 1934. Nichols was their radio operator and Cassidy had served with Pangborn in World War I.
