The City & County of Honolulu Industrial Accident Board was appointed by the [Territorial] Governor, consisting of five board members who served without salary and attended regular meetings about once a month. The bulk of the daily business and record keeping was done by a salaried secretary for each board.
Each County had their own Industrial Accident Board for a total of four: Hawai‘i, Maui, Kaua‘i and the City & County of Honolulu.

The Honolulu records are arranged chronologically 1915-1930 and alphabetically by employer 1931-1941 and consist of registers giving detailed statistical summaries of the claims; including employer, type of business, security, employee name, occupation, age, nationality, and marital status, date of accident and disability period, the nature and extent of the injury, and wages and compensation paid.
Five volumes covering 1915-1927 are titled "Classified Summary". Three volumes covering 1928-1930 are titled "General Statistical Record." Records for 1931-1941 are on microfilm (MFL-68, Workmen's Compensation Employer Records).
The Hawaii County records are arranged chronologically. They consist of four volumes for 1915-1925 titled "Accident Register".
